After Home of Right Wing Leader is Attacked, Message from Swedish Media is He Only Has Himself to Blame
The house of Jimmie Åkesson, the leader of the anti-mass migration Sweden Democrats, was attacked earlier this week and one Swedish journalist claims that Åkesson only has himself to blame for it.
TV4 sports journalist Christoffer Eriksson said that Mr Akesson has no one else to blame for the attack, but himself. Åkesson’s home, where his partner and their three-year-old son were at the time, was attacked on Tuesday evening by unknown persons who threw eggs at the house and firecrackers and even tried to break in, Swedish paper Nyheter Idagreports.
Åkesson’s partner Louise Erixon described the incident as the “worst attack so far” on the couples’ home. While many journalists slammed the attack against the populist politician and his family, Christoffer Eriksson took to Twitter with the opposite view.
Describing Åkesson and the Sweden Democrats as, “a bug in the system that must be corrected Eriksson went on to blame Akesson saying, “it is possible to rely on the much-underrated phrase ‘Talk shit, get shot.'”
“For you see, Jimmie is a Nazi. He, Kent, Linus, Andrew and others, they are Nazis. And the Nazis have no place in rooms with us,” he wrote adding, “their political heritage consists of hatred, intimidation, terror and violence. This pit he has dug for himself.”
Eriksson finished his rant saying that Åkesson was “Sweden’s biggest coward,” and called him a “wimp.”
Sweden Democrat press officer Henrik Vinge reacted to the Tweets saying, “It is absolutely disgusting. If TV4 do not act on this, it’s huge scandal.”
Since garnering the attention of Swedish media Christoffer Eriksson has deleted his entire Twitter account, though many have spread screenshots of the Tweets in question across social media.
The Swedish media aren’t the only ones who are firmly against Åkesson and the Sweden democrats. Earlier this week it was revealed that the SD leader was on a Swedish government list of Twitter users who are said to promote “hate” against migrants and minority groups alongside the Israeli ambassador to Sweden.
The Sweden Democrats have emerged as the largest party in the country after the disastrous effects of mass migration have become clear to many Swedes. Polls show that Swedes are becoming ever more concerned about the effects of Islamisation, migrant ghettos and increases in crime in predominantly migrant suburbs.
After it was revealed that the man behind the terror attack in Stockholm earlier this year was a failed asylum seeker, Åkesson called the fact he had not been deported a “scandal” and demanded political consequences.
